Request for Submitals & Art Selection Guidelines--Highlands Ranch Library

The Art Selection Committee at the Highlands Ranch Library is accepting submitals from artists who wish to exhibit at the library in 2009.

Artists who wish to be considered are asked to submit images of five to ten different works in any of the following ways:

• Digital photos can be e-mailed to artist_submission@dclibraries.org.
• Slides may be submitted in 8 ½ x 11” clear slide projector sheets and mailed to the Art Committee, Highlands Ranch Library, 9292 Ridgeline Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129, or they can be dropped off at the library’s information desk. The artist should also provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope so that slides can be returned after they have been juried.
• An Artist's Website may be used as a method to submit the 10 images of artwork.
• A CD may be mailed to the above address or dropped off at the Information Desk, and should include a self-addressed stamped envelope so it can be returned.
• All submittals must include the artist's: name, address, phone number, email address, and type of medium(s) used.

Art exhibit space is provided at the Highlands Ranch Library to enhance the library's role as a cultural center and place of learning.

The library displays art of the highest quality as determined by the Art Committee.
The Committee selects artists by a slide review process, in-person interviews and by special invitation to exhibit. The Committee also makes recommendations concerning pieces of art that are offered for the permanent collection of the library and may also fundraise to purchase specific permanent pieces to enhance the library space.
